Promenade refers to dance patterns that are moving towards the leaders left hand side.
We first learn to Promenade in Ballroom Tango and then again in Waltz
As these swivels are heading to the leaders left they are called Promenade Swivels and ‘short’ becuase you don’t dance many of them. Just one count of quick, quick, slow in fact! 🙂
