45 minutes of beginner friendly social dancing with the support of our teachers and our friendly community. This is the perfect way to ‘dip your toe in’ the water of social dancing if it’s your first time or you are a bit nervous. There are plenty of teachers to guide you, the bar is open and we even yell out the style of each song so you know what to dance to it! 🙂
When: Every Friday 8:30pm-9:15pm
Facilities: HUGE dance floor, clean and fancy bathrooms, large front bar space for drinks and hang outs between dances.
Cost: Absolutely Free!
Who’s there? Many other beginner and intermediate dancers and 4-5 QuickSteps teachers as well as Tshepo and Rhys behind the bar.
Music: We pre plan the music leading up to the event and aim to have a range of easy to dance to songs suitable for all of our level 1 and 2 styles.
Dance Styles: Rumba, Cha Cha, West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Rock n roll, Waltz, Tango, Line Dance. (***Please note we do not play Salsa or Bachata at this event as there are many hours of Salsa and Bachata happening every Friday night from 9:15pm-12:30am at Bailamos)
What’s the vibe? Let’s learn and dance together as a community. There’s no judgement here, it’s all about trying out what you’ve learnt and seeing how it fits on the social floor.
